Buildiy is an Australian software platform for registered Australian businesses. We aim to handle personal information in a practical, careful way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy applies to people who visit buildiy.com.au, contact us, sign up for a Buildiy account, use a Buildiy workspace, receive emails from us, or interact with a website hosted through Buildiy.
Some websites hosted through Buildiy are operated by our tenants. In those cases, the tenant decides what they collect from their own customers and website visitors. Buildiy provides the platform and may process that information for the tenant.
Depending on how you use Buildiy, we may collect:
We collect information directly from you when you create an account, complete a form, configure a workspace, contact support, or use the platform. We also collect some information automatically when you use our website or hosted services.
For ABN checks, we may use public Australian business register information to help confirm that a signup relates to a registered Australian business.

Buildiy lets tenants publish websites and enable features such as contact forms, booking links, client portal login, project showcases, reviews, and basic website statistics. If a visitor submits an enquiry on a tenant website, we process that enquiry so it can be delivered to the tenant.
Tenants are responsible for making sure their own use of Buildiy is lawful, including the content they publish and how they handle enquiries from their customers. Buildiy is responsible for operating the platform carefully and applying reasonable security controls to the systems we manage.
We may use cookies, logs, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, protect forms from spam, measure basic website activity, remember preferences, and improve reliability. Buildiy uses Cloudflare services, including security and anti-abuse tools. Tenant websites may also use Buildiy-managed visitor statistics if the tenant has enabled that feature.
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run Buildiy, such as hosting, security, email delivery, DNS/domain services, payment processing, analytics, backups, and operational tooling.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, to investigate security or abuse issues, to complete a business transfer, or with your consent.
Some providers we use may store or process information outside Australia, including in countries where major cloud, security, payment, and email providers operate. These may include the United States and other locations used by providers such as Cloudflare, Stripe, Google, Microsoft, and hosting infrastructure providers.
Where practical, we choose reputable providers and use contractual, technical, and access controls to reduce privacy and security risk.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, password hashing, audit logs, security headers, spam protection, backups, and least-privilege access practices.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the platform, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and operate backups. If information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
You can ask us for access to personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Tenant administrators can update many workspace details directly in their Buildiy dashboard.
We may send product updates, launch information, and relevant service communications. You can opt out of marketing emails where an unsubscribe option is provided. Important account, billing, security, and service emails may still be sent when needed to operate the platform.
Buildiy is intended for Australian businesses and their authorised users. It is not intended for children to create accounts or provide personal information directly to us.
